One of my new found loves since moving to Kansas has been going to the rodeo! I went to the American Royal rodeo for the first time three years ago and thought it was great. Since then, I've been to the PBR twice, the American Royal rodeo a couple more times, the CBR (Championship Bull Riding) at the American Royal and the bull riding at the county fair. Who knew watching bull riding could be so much fun?! Last night we went to the PRCA Gold Tour Rodeo (American Royal Rodeo) and it was a blast. My favorite events are bull riding and mutton busting! It is so fun watching these cute little kids doing mutton busting. The youngest boy last night was three years old! Adorable - the little kiddos dressed in their jeans, boots, chaps, button down shirts and helmets looking very country! The bull riding last night was less than stellar, with only three guys riding the full 8 seconds. However, it is still fun to watch though.
Dierks Bentley performed last night in concert after the rodeo. He puts on a really good show. I had seen him before a couple times (most of the time when he opened up for Kenny Chesney) and had forgotten how much I liked his music! It was a great Friday night at the rodeo!
