What a GREAT Friday!

I took the day off of work today since Mom is visiting, so that right there makes for a great day.  We had a busy day...starting off by a trip to Sam's Club to get my tires rotated and buying anything in bulk that I could think of.  Next was a quick stop into work because Mom wanted to see where I work and get a Bod Pod test done.  Don't worry, we were only there about 10 minutes since it was my day off after all.  The afternoon was spent helping the economy in Kansas...aka...shopping!  It was a great afternoon for shopping at The Legends and we took full advantage of it.

To end a great day, we headed down to Kemper Arena to see some cowboys and bulls!  The Championship Bull Riding (CBR) was in town for the American Royal.  This was my mom's first time seeing bull riding and it was a blast!  There were a lot of really good riders who lasted the 8 seconds and there even were a couple to score 90 points!

The best quote of the night was from the rodeo clown... He was asking who in the crowd was from Kansas because the next bull rider was from Kansas.  There were some cheers for this.  Then he asked how many people were from Missouri.  More cheers.  After naming a couple other states, he asked "How many people are here from a different country?"  A few people cheered.  "How many of you here from a different country are here illegally?"  No cheers!  Too funny! Gotta love the CBR (and those cowboys!).
