After living for more than five years in apartments, I was more than ready to live in a house again! When looking for houses to rent a few months back, the thought that I would have to mow the lawn and shovel snow didn't phase me. It actually seemed quite appealing. Whoa, what was I thinking?! The lawn mower and I are NOT the best of friends. Just once, I would like the lawn mower to start on the first try. Is that asking too much?! Living in a house is great and would be even better with a lawn boy! Anyone interested in the job??
'Man vs. Nature' is the photography theme this week. When I read that on Saturday, the first thing that instantly came to mind was mowing the lawn! If it's not a struggle enough to start the lawn mower, I added more to it tonight when I also was attempting to take a self portrait, while starting the lawn mower. It was a rocky start with the lawn mower winning, but in the end, I came out ahead and the front lawn is nicely mowed!

I'm impressed. I've never mowed a lawn in my life and really don't have any desire to do so (yay for growing up with brothers!). Maybe Tim should start flying in just to mow it for you?
ReplyDeleteVery clever way to picture the theme! Knowing your history with this mower I can appreciate your hard work and determination! I don't know if a mower EVER starts on the first try! I wonder if Steiner "boys" like "girls" who can mow??? I've never seen Dan mow their lawn but I've seen Anna do it many times!!! Just sayin'!
