Life in a Snapshot: Goodbye Kansas City...Hello Annapolis...

Labor Day weekend meant a long weekend off work and what's a person to do if you don't want to go camping like everyone else in Kansas City does?! Go on a trip, of course! Tim had finished Primary training and was taking some time off to go back home to Annapolis before Advanced training starts. I flew out on Thursday night to meet him. It was a wonderful trip to Annapolis with just the right amount of relaxing and going out doing things. As mentioned in a previous blog post, it was so great getting to meet Tim's parents on this trip! On Friday, we went onto the Naval Academy Yard for a tour and to see noon meal formation. Tim must be pretty confident that I like him since he took me where there were LOTS of guys in uniform! It was neat seeing the Naval Academy through Tim's perspective and hearing his stories. The weather was beautiful the whole trip, which made it great for being outside. Downtown Annapolis is such a cute area! Saturday evening we had a great dinner date at the Severn Inn, which was right on the water. Sitting outside by the water, yummy food, great views of the Naval Academy and a great guy - what could be better?! A trip to the Baltimore area wouldn't be complete without seeing Alicia. We were able to meet up on Sunday evening and catch up for a little bit. It was such a great weekend and the fun didn't stop there... Tim flew back with me to Kansas City and spent a few days in Kansas City. It was nice being able to show him the area, which of course included the country bar! This was the longest time we have spent together...almost a full week, and we weren't even sick of each other at the end! I'm already looking forward to the next trip...
