The basement of our house is painted a lovely, lavender purple color. Our landlord said one of the previous renters painted it that color. While it is very pretty, it is a little odd for the basement. Rose and I decided that it would make a great craft room. We have lived in this house for almost a year but haven't used the craft room much. When we want to be crafty, we usually bring the crafting upstairs to the dinning room table. Last weekend was different...My mom and Aunt Mary came for a quilt weekend. It was such a fun weekend! I took the afternoon off of work and enjoyed a little shopping at the Legends before the weekend of sewing. We all were working on various projects - Rose sewing a quilt for bed, Aunt Mary made a few really cute clothes pin bags, Mom was working on a little lap quilt and I was making a couple baby gifts for friends. Even with all the sewing, we took a break to have Oklahoma Joe's (the gas station BBQ) for dinner. It was Aunt Mary's first visit to the Kansas City area, so we had to make sure she got to experience Oklahoma Joe's - yum! The quilt weekend with Rose, Mom and Aunt Mary was such a fun and productive weekend!
