I took my last trip to Corpus Christi, Texas last week to visit Tim. It was a special visit for Tim's winging ceremony. It is official - Tim is a Naval Aviator! It has been a couple year journey through flight school and a lot of hard work leading up to this, but those wings of gold look great pinned on his uniform. I am so proud! Congratulations, Tim, on this awesome accomplishment!
A look of the weekend through photos...enjoy!
You can't go wrong with sugar cookies - especially
when they are in the shape of Navy wings. Yum!

Such a handsome Navy Pilot
After the soft winging ceremony, we were able to check
out the airplanes. Tim by the T-44 that he flew.
Fly Navy!
I'm ready to be Tim's copilot in the T-34.
This was the plane he flew in primary.
We even got time in the flight simulator. Dad and Tim
going over the start-up check list.

Proud parents! So proud of my Naval Aviator!
All 22 of the new Naval Aviators. This group was
the last class to get their wings at the NAS Corpus Christi
Bay Club. The building has held winging ceremonies in
it since 1941.
Father John and the Womacks came to celebrate Tim.
Saturday we took a little drive to Port Aransas. It was
a cloudy day at the beach but warm enough that I put
my toes in the water.
Great looking family!
Enjoying the Texas weather. Happy my parents
came for the weekend!
It was a wonderful trip to Texas! Weird to think he's no longer a 'Texan' and I'll be heading out east to visit (and live soon!).

What a great weekend it was! So proud of Tim!
