I hear voices...

Over the past month and a half, the Thursday evening program where I volunteer has been going through the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University.  Lucky for me, since I am there to volunteer, I also have been able to watch the Financial Peace DVDs and learn all that Dave Ramsey has to say about money.  I have found it all very interesting and I think he has a lot of great advice.  I think some of his advice is a little extreme, or at least, some things that I don't feel I need to start doing in my life (for example, cutting up my credit cards!).  It was an interesting time for me to be watching these DVDs though because I had just started car shopping.  Of course, throughout my entire time car shopping, I kept hearing Dave Ramsey's voice in my head telling me no to financing and never buy a new car.  (Check back in a week for a post on my new car!)

The last lesson we watched was "Working in Your Strengths".  I was especially interested in this lesson!  Dave mentioned the book "48 Days to the Work You Love" by Dan Miller in his DVD, so I went out and bought the book tonight.  (Thank you random tall guy at Borders who got the book off the top shelf for me).  I have read the day 1 assigned chapter already and hopefully in 48 days, I'll have a better understanding of what I would really like to do with my life - job wise.  I feel like my list of jobs I don't want to have is getting longer and longer, whereas I'm having a harder time coming up with jobs that I would like to have... I'll keep you all posted....suggestions are always welcome too!
